Govt. Polytechnic Bhimtal- Alumni Association
The association fosters strong bonds between alumni and the alma mater, encouraging collaboration, knowledge exchange, and contributions to the institute’s growth.

🌟 The Aims and Objectives

  • Promote mutually beneficial interaction between Alumni and Alma Mater.
  • Encourage formation of chapters for wider participation.
  • Provide a forum linking alumni, staff, and students.
  • Enable alumni to contribute to institute development.
  • Keep alumni updated on scientific and technological progress.
  • Assist alumni with technical problems.
  • Exchange professional knowledge via conferences, seminars, and workshops.
  • Institute scholarships and financial aid for deserving students.
  • Contribute to alumni welfare.
  • Support other aims decided by the General Body.

👤 Organization Patron

The Principal of Government Polytechnic Bhimtal shall be the Patron of the Association.

📋 Membership

  • Diploma holders of the institute as Active Members (with fee).
  • Final year students as Student Members.
  • Invited Members (one year) decided by the Executive Committee.
  • Faculty Members on payment of Rs. 500/-.

💰 Membership Fee

Active Members & Faculty Members: Rs. 200/-
Other members: Exempted from Life Membership fee.

🏛️ General Body

The General Body consists of all members and meets at least once a year. Annual meetings (Jan–Mar) present reports and audits. Constitutional changes require quorum of 100+ Active Members, two-thirds faculty, and student members.

👥 Executive Committee

  • President: Outgoing student, presides meetings.
  • Vice President: Outgoing student, acts in President’s absence.
  • Secretary: Outgoing student, manages daily affairs, records minutes.
  • Treasurer: Final year student, manages finances and dues.
  • Members: Three alumni, assist in duties.

🗳️ Elections

All active members can vote, propose, or contest. Elections are held biennially (Jan–Mar, even years). Term: 2 years.

⚖️ Affairs

Managed by the Executive Committee. Quorum: 4 voting members. Committee can co-opt members for specific purposes. Expenditure powers rest with the committee.

📰 Newsletter & Programs

The Association publishes newsletters and organizes conferences, seminars, and workshops.

📍 Sections

Local alumni sections may be formed with approval. Each section submits annual reports to the Executive Committee.

💵 Funds

Income from donations and subscriptions. Funds invested in banks or securities, operated jointly by Principal & Treasurer/President.

✍️ Amendments

Suggestions signed by 10+ members must reach Secretary 3 months before AGM. Amendments require two-thirds majority.

📖 Membership Rights

Active Members receive announcements, publications, and benefits of assistance schemes.

⚠️ Liabilities

No member is personally liable for association debts unless proven negligent or in bad faith.

📅 Meetings

Annual General Body Meetings held at GP Bhimtal premises. Special meetings may be called by President or requisitioned by members.
