It is a fairly new institute. It was established in the year 2014 for bringing about industrial and technological development to the region. It was established with just one branch of Civil Engineering with an intake of 25 seats. We have some senior and highly experienced faculty and also a few young teachers which just creates a fine blend of youth and experience. The students come from all over the state with varying cultural backgrounds. The picturesque scenic beauty of the lake district provides a peaceful setting that is congenial to academic and technological pursuit. With a number of different educational institutes of repute, Bhimtal has been emerging as a powerful hub of learning and resources. Government Polytechnic Bhimtal not only adds to but also completes such a picture.
